Serena Williams' childhood dream became a reality as Nike honored her with the largest building in the company's Oregon Headquarters.

Not only does the name Serena Williams associated with her extraordinary grand slam legacy with 23 titles to be exact in the world of tennis, but her name is also now linked with an architectural legacy.

At 1 million square feet, roughly the equivalent of 140 full-size tennis courts, the Serena Williams building is the largest office building at Nike World Headquarters in Beaverton, Oregon.

The structure is designed by Portland-based Skylab Architecture in collaboration with Mark Parker, Executive Chairman of NIKE, Inc. The company's design, insights, and product-merchandising teams will collaborate in this new space.

Williams' greatness inspired the building's tripartite structure linked by a 10-level tower, making it the tallest on campus. It also references the goddess Nike's wings. Furthermore, the space encompasses 140,000 square feet of showrooms and workspace, a footwear materials library, a color lab, and a two-story 140-seat theater named after William's daughter, Olympia.

In an Instagram post, the tennis titan expressed her excitement with her 14.6 million followers about the unveiling of the building in her namesake. Williams shared that it was her childhood dream to become a Nike athlete and have her building one day after visiting the Nike campus as a child.
