Tasting Notes: Shock Coffee Packs a Double Punch
We’re lucky enough to have companies send us their products to try, and although we’ve gotten a few doozies, we share only the best with you guys.

If regular coffee doesn’t do the trick anymore, then maybe its time for a shock. Shock Coffee is hyper-caffeinated for those of us who need that extra kick in the morning in your preferred method of intake. They’ve got coffee to brew, lattes and mochas to chill, and even chocolate covered espresso beans to munch on. GUY.com got to try them all.
To be honest, I was a little worried before brewing their ground Energy Blend… At double the amount of coffee per cup, could it be too caffeinated? Would it give me a heart attack? No, it did not. I do drink some form of caffeine every morning so I am quite used to the stuff. It did pack an extra punch that isn’t normally found in a “typical” cup-of-joe, but it wasn’t ridiculous.
The Triple Mocha and Triple Latte were great– ready to take out of the fridge and enjoy. These are great for people on the go who need an extra boost. (Yes, college students I’m talking to you.) They are very sweet and very smooth. We found the best way to consume them is to throw a can into the freezer for a few minutes before drinking so the latte is super-chilled.
If you need a pick me up and you’re having one of your horrible chocolate cravings, Shock Coffee also makes Shock-A-Lots, chocolate covered coffee beans. One pack equals one cup of coffee and it’ll kill two birds with one stone. If you prefer your kick-ass in candy form, and aren’t much of a coffee drinker or find that it’s too inconvenient to carry or prepare a travel mug for the morning commute, a bag of these at least makes consuming your morning jolt convenient. The crunchy texture is fun. Just make sure you don’t have any coffee bean particles stuck in your teeth before you get into the elevator with Sally.

You can give Shock Coffee a try by visiting their website. They also have a facebook page where you can stay up to date with news and deals.

I’ve seen this advertised locally. A deli has a sign up telling/warning people they sell it. I’m actually in the process of cutting down of caffeine, but I might give it a try sometime all the same
PS The SHOCK A LOTS are interesting, as I’ll regularly sneak a few beans from the machines at the grocery store to munch, rather than purchase any outright. Turning those into an official snack product is an interesting move
