The world is overflowing with beautiful and interesting things competing for our attention, and if you live in the real world, it’s a tall task to include appreciating the hell out of art on a daily basis. Really, who can find the time? That’s why Guy.com offers a “daily slice.” It’s a small taste of what’s going on in the world of art and design–something we find beautiful or inspiring or worthy of a peek. We’re happy to serve it up.

Music videos don’t just live in the pop music world. They’re mashups of art, music, sound and lighting, staging, and editing… It’s an interdisciplinary approach to creative work that’s fun to appreciate. What’s more, we found an even more unique approach to the genre: someone is opening up their video to audience participation and allows the end user to alter and share their version of it. Check out the original:

What happens when you line up 250 or so Canon cameras and hook the strobes up to a computer program to animate the flashes? The result is one kickass lightshow and an excellent concept video for Japanese rock group Androp.

Three directors Masashi Kawamura, Qanta Shimizu, and Masatsugu Nagasoe with support of Canon Marketing Japan Inc. created a fabulous video for the single “Bright Siren” that sparkles out scrolling text and geometric shapes. But it’s a wild rocking guitarist animation that will blow you away. The creators state that all the animation is real and no CG was used. Absolutely impressive.

Visit Androp’s special website for “Bright Siren” where you can alter the video with your own little message and share your version on twitter or facebook.

Like what you hear? Androp’s single is off their new album Relight slated for 9.21.2011. Preorder the single from CDJapan. You can visit Androp’s official website to see what’s new as well.
