Elite Beyond Recognition: Louis Vuitton iPad Cases
You don’t need it, and damn sure can’t afford it. While you gaze upon the showcase here, you can hear your checkbook crying wherever it is — that’s for sure. We don’t care. We’re just waving flashy stuff around that we can’t afford either. Welcome to your tour of the unnecessary and elite.
To most men, he’s just a guy who makes expensive handbags. But to others, Louis Vuitton is a fashion icon. Either way, you know his products demand a high price tag. Some will say that you get a higher quality product than you would from some other company like Belkin or Case Logic. For that niche market of rich technology enthusiasts that are also fashion conscious, Louis Vuitton also has a line of iPad cases.
The cases are made of high quality leather and feature the ubiquitous LV design that Louis Vuitton slaps on all of their products. They are available in both brown and black, although to our eyes they both seem a bit garish.
They’re priced steeply at around $400. That means you’re paying almost as much for the case as you did for the actual iPad. So what is the advantage of this over a $30 case that protects your iPad just as well? All you’re paying for is style, and if you care that much about it, why not just tote your iPad around naked? After all, you can just buy a new one with the money you didn’t spend on a Louis Vuitton case.
It would make a bit more sense if they were priced around $100, since that seems to be the upper tier for an iPad case, but $400 is a bit ridiculous.

Definitely not the nicest looking iPad case I’ve ever seen. You’d be better off to make your own case out of some neat material, like an old decorative mirrored elephant blanket
